chicken is always outstanding. only getting four stars because everytime i'm craving the mango sticky rice they are out!!!

A coworker of mine brought a chicken and rice platter from here to work for everyone to try, and I was hooked instantly. The plate came with perfectly fried chicken, a neatly wrapped package of sticky rice, and a small serving of chili paste on the side. The flavors were absolutely amazing--the chicken was crispy and flavorful, the sticky rice had just the right texture and stickiness, and the chili paste added a nice, satisfying kick that tied everything together. After that first experience, I knew I had to come back. On my next visit, I decided to try the spring rolls in addition to the chicken and rice. I was pleasantly surprised by how generously sized the spring rolls were--longer than what most places serve--and the price was pretty reasonable, too. While I personally prefer a thick peanut sauce, the sauce they provided was a bit watery for my liking, though it still tasted good and complemented the spring rolls well. Overall, this place has quickly become a favorite of mine. The flavors, quality, and portion sizes make it well worth returning for, and I'll definitely keep coming back for more! If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend giving it a shot.

This is usually my go to place for the chicken & sticky rice grab and go. My son really likes the spicy dip that comes with it. Recently tho I noticed when I ordered it came out different packaging. And the chicken seemed a little more drier than usual. Maybe I came on a bad day, idk but usually their chicken hit. I always come to get their kao piak here tho since it's decent and nearby.. service is always good. I used to get the tapioca balls but they put it in the fridge now and I like it better room temp. The steamed catfish used to be really good but taste somewhat different then when they used to be on first and olive.. it's okay.. the bamboo thing in the fridge used to hit too on first and olive and now it tastes just a tad bit different. Different location different recipe ig? Jk. Idk. The place makes me feel like it's big for nothing cus it is super super spacious in there. They even have a back side patio and upstairs which I'm not sure if they allow people upstairs. I know this cus this place used to be a bar called Swigs!! The service is good tho, nice friendly vibes. I still b messin with this place even tho some of the stuff I get taste a little diff then first n olive.. its only when I crave Laos food.

I arrived right when they opened. Ordered bananas wrapped in sticky rice and a durian smoothie.. Banannas wrap was very nice. It was served hot, with 4 little packages wrapped in banana leaves. In addition to the banana and sticky rice, there was also some kind of bean in there, which added a nice nuttiness. Durian shake had nice durian flavor, although I would have preferred a stronger durian flavor. Service was friendly and polite. The dining room is decorated in southeast Asian style and is very spacious. There are lots of food items available for take away along the walls. I liked the atmosphere. Apparently, they have things for sale that aren't on the menu, so it pays to ask. For example, my banana with sticky rice wasn't listed on the menu. I will be back to try some of the savory options, which look delicious.

I ordered the papaya salad here over the phone. It was promised to be ready in 10 minutes after I ordered it and it really was! The flavor was amazing and perfect. I will note that it was a bit spicier than normal, but I did not mind it at all. The inside of the store was very clean and it was actually quite packed and busy around the time I visited the store which was in the afternoon on a Sunday. I have not yet tried to sit down and dine in here but I would like to try it sometime and give another review then!

Oh so good. Everything we tried was so delicious : sticky rice plate with fried chicken, spicy papaya salad, mango sticky rice, taro smoothie & red guava smoothie with boba. Walk up to the counter, place your order, and wait impatiently for your food.

Ambiance: They used to be located on first and Olive, but their store burned down. This new location is where I used to go clubbing. Now they have this location and Sweet Mango. Their sticky rice, chicken and rice with jeo bong is my favorite at Sweet Mango. However, this location, I opted for sticky rice, pork and papaya salad. I thought it was neat that their drink bar is separate. Very spacious compared to Sweet Mango. Service: I can't really speak about service because I used their self serve machine. It was cool to see Asian foods and drinks on a self serve machine. If you don't feel like taking food home, they do have seating areas. I ordered papaya and it asks for spice level. I chose hot which is 5 peppers and boy was it spicy. Food: Sticky Rice: Good, I never really have bad sticky rice unless it sticks to your hands. Pork- okay, I should have gotten my regular which is the chicken. The best pork in Fresno is at Christy's Donuts. Sweet Mango has good chicken and since they are the same owners as AC deli, I should have gotten chicken. Papaya- I didn't have an option of choosing Lao style, but papaya was good. I decided on 5 peppers Instead of 3 and it was delicious. Portion was good. It had a great balance of saltiness and sourness. I am lao so I am serious about my papaya salad. Lol. Overall, my first experience here was good.

Come here all the time when I want a cheap, quick, yet delicious bite to eat! Sandwiched between a gas station and the New City dim sum place, this can be easy to miss. However, you should NOT MISS out on these quality meals. There is suprisingly a decent amount of seating, and the place is well kept. Usually when I go this place only has a few customers. Recently, however, it's always at full capacity and I'm glad they're getting the hype the deserve. Service is FAST, and now they have installments of two kiosks for even more quick ordering. Their other staff is friendly and quick to attend to your needs. Most of their meals are prepackaged and ready to go and usually that can be off putting, but trust me when I say that there is no decline in quality freshness. My go-to (and the most popular menu item) is the classic chicken and rice. It just always does the job and for $8, you get a filling meal packed with flavor. Such a simple dish with lao style fried chicken, sticky rice, and their signature chili paste. In my opinion, the paste packs the flavor and ties the whole meal together so YOU BETTER be able to handle a little bit of spice. There is even a drink bar where you can order bubble tea, which I only hear great things about. Cannot recommend this place enough. The price, speed, and quality is unmatched!
